This is one of the most rewarding and fascinating excursions for those who are eager to enjoy the priceless archaeological and historical sites of the magnificent Peloponnese peninsula. The scenic road will bring you to the "rich in gold" Mycenae, the historical place so vividly described by Homer. Visit the ruins of a prehistoric Acropolis with its cyclopean walls, the majestic Lion Gate, the Mycenaean palace of the kings and the famous "Tomb of Agamemnon". Driving through the Argolis valley with orange orchards, you will arrive in one of the most beautiful cities and the first capital of Greece, Nafplion, located on the shores of the Argolic Gulf. The next stop of our journey, Epidaurus, famous for the ancient sanctuary of Asclepius, the god of healing,  and for the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus with its unique acoustics, where during summers a music and theatrical festival takes place. Famous contemporary opera and pop singers around the world consider it a great honor to perform on stage of the Epidaurus. The journey will be completed with the stop at the famous Corinth Canal, a grand man-made structures of end of the 19th century, which connects the Aegean and Ionian Seas.
